 Great little remote, good value July 30, 2010

This remote works great for my little Kodak Playsport. It has better functionality and is easier to use than my Canon SLR remote and I paid $50 for that one!
If you get a playsport or zi8, you must get a tripod and this remote if you plan to attempt taking any still shots. Otherwise, you will be very disappointed with the quality. Also great for reviewing videos and pictures on the TV.

It works perfectly. There's not much more you can say. Good thing it's simple because there are zero instructions. That's the only reason there are not five stars.
You may be confused when you first get the package. You ask "How do I get it to work?" You just start using it, that's all. Turn your camera on and just start pressing buttons.

Looks like a remote. Has buttons like a remote... functions like a remote.
Its definately not a pickle!
Original equipment for the Kodak Playsport & the only one available.

This is the perfect companion to the zi8 no matter if you use it for fun or for work. Just put the camera on a tripod and shoot pics, video, etc. it would be great if you could see the zi8 screen to see what you're doing. probably attaching a mirror to one of those monkey tripods would work.
Anyways I'm very very happy with this purchase I hated pressing a button and running to get in the picture.
Add a mic and you're ready to do some very good interviews without having a crew.
